This is a digital collage by Yvonne Mojica (2019) called ‘Miss Monday’ which depicts a woman with a stone face, in a dress with a jeweled bodice and flowery straps which fall off her shoulders. The dress is form fitting and draped across the lap with 3 large strands of diamonds, in cascading sizes, and hemmed in flames of gold. This woman has the wings of a Monarch Butterfly and a large choker made of diamonds. She stands under a blue sky in a setting made of blue butterfly wings and pink sea shells accented with diamond, studs, She has her arms thrown wide in a half curtesy, her stone face indifferent, cheek upturned for a kiss or a slap, she does not care. Pink orchids coming from the sky, flank her, on both sides. She has a crown of delicate pink flowers around her head in saturnine fashion and a pink flower in each earlobe. Her left forearm is wrapped in a diamond sleeve, a much more modest string of diamonds hangs loosely around her right wrist.
