Self-published in the nineties, written and drawn by me, and the reason I know how a comic is actually put together — cover furniture, price boxes, issue numbers, the lot. Everything I later had to fake for prop comics on television, I learned here by having to do it for real. Marked for mature readers, and it means it.

The Comic Book Workbook

A workbook that teaches a child to make a comic rather than to copy one. Blank pages with the furniture already drawn — the masthead, the barcode, the price box, the burst — so the only thing missing is their story. The blank templates are given away free at ComicBookWorkBook.com.

A zine given away rather than sold, made in 2023. Eight pages of comics, essays and fill-in-the-blank pages — and an experiment: the artwork was generated rather than drawn, which the zine says out loud on its own Department of Full Disclosure page.
